Sourced from a bank, this vintage wooden bank writing table features a six-foot work surface and ten front-facing pigeonhole cubbies arranged in two groups of five. Warm brown wood, broad panel supports, and a timeworn finish give this distinctive piece the character of vintage commercial furniture.
Its long, narrow proportions make it an appealing console table for an entryway or behind a sofa, a standing writing desk, or a display counter for a shop or studio. The recessed cubbies provide storage for stationery, small collectibles, and creative supplies while leaving the tabletop available for lamps, books, or decorative objects.
The straightforward architectural form complements industrial, rustic, traditional, and collected eclectic interiors. An unusual alternative to a conventional console, with the practical details of a bank writing counter.
