Featuring a sculptural pinecone … Read more For sale is this beautiful antique French bronze lamp finial, sourced from a Paris flea market. Featuring a sculptural pinecone or artichoke nestled within a decorative leaf-form cup, this substantial hollow bronze finial has developed a rich, heavily aged surface with extensive green verdigris, dark oxidation, and traces of warm bronze showing through.

The pronounced verdigris gives this example a particularly rustic, timeworn character, ideal for French country, traditional, or eclectic interiors.

The finial has been fitted with a modern brass adapter for use with American lamps.

A second finial of the same design, with considerably less oxidation and a warmer bronze finish, is available separately in my shop. Although originally a matching pair, they are being sold individually because of their differing patinas and condition.

Condition: Antique condition with substantial verdigris corrosion, oxidation, surface roughness, and age-related wear throughout. The patina has been left undisturbed. Please examine all photographs carefully.
