Hand-blown glass wall sconce by boulanger, belgium, dating from the 1960s. The fixture combines a flattened, rounded hand-blown glass shade with a brass wall mount. The glass transitions between translucent and opaline sections, partially revealing the light source while diffusing the illumination across the surface. A circular brass fitting secures the glass to the wall and provides a warm contrast to the pale shade. The compact construction and combination of hand-blown glass and patinated brass are characteristic of belgian decorative lighting of the period.
