Originally designed for the Argyle Street Tea Rooms in Glasgow, it beautifully showcases Mackintosh's characteristic, almost architectural design language. The sofa is consistently linear: the tall, rectangular side panels, the clean lines of the seat, and the straight backrest create a strictly geometric silhouette. This gives it a simultaneously minimalist, elegant, and striking presence in the room. An exceptional design piece from one of the most important British designers of the turn of the century, this is the later Cassina version. Particularly interesting for lovers of Mackintosh, Glasgow style, and classic design. Width: 167 cm Depth: 66 cm Height: 70 cm See less
