The M1 table is one of the most iconic creations by Angelo Mangiarotti, a master at bringing out the natural and structural qualities of stone materials.
Crafted from an extraordinary marble with rich natural veining in shades of dove grey, cream and brown, each piece of this model is unique, with a veining pattern that cannot be replicated.
It features a round top and a central truncated cone-shaped marble base that fit together without the need for screws or pins, utilising the weight of the marble itself and the geometric precision of the truncated cone.
Ideal for prestigious settings, sophisticated dining rooms or art galleries, the M1 model blends naturally into modernist and vintage settings, as well as high-end contemporary interiors.
An architect, designer and sculptor, Angelo Mangiarotti was a leading figure thanks to his eclectic career, which saw him involved in a wide range of projects, from product design to sculpture and architecture. He was born in Milan in 1921 and, after graduating in Architecture from the Politecnico, worked on the exhibition design for the Milan Triennale in 1948. In 1955, he founded a design studio in Milan with his colleague Bruno Morassutti.
Among Mangiarotti’s best-known designs are those created for Agape: the ‘Cavalletto’ modular bookcase, the ‘Tre3’ chair, and the ‘Eros’ and ‘Eccentrico’ tables, all crafted from Carrara marble. Mangiarotti died on 30 June 2012, aged 91. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
