A late victorian doulton lambeth stoneware lidded coffee pot, crafted in london, england circa 1900. This piece beautifully showcases the celebrated "slaters patent" chine ware textured technique, reflecting the intense influence of the late 19th-century british japonisme movement.
the primary body features an intricate, lace-impressed textured background achieved by pressing real lace fabric into the wet clay before firing. This background is meticulously embellished with hand-painted slip-enamel white and terracotta chrysanthemums highlighted by elegant gilded accents. The upper neck, curved handle, and elongated pouring spout are finished in a highly lustrous, contrasting deep brown majolica-style glaze. The matching original lid completes the motif flawlessly.
