Each vertical plaque showcases one of these plants, representing the four seasons and the noble qualities of a true scholar (resilience, elegance, integrity, and purity).
Each porcelain tile is exquisitely hand-painted in the classic Famille Rose (Fencai) palette, featuring vibrant, realistic flowers and foliage, accompanied by lively birds (such as magpies and kingfishers). Traditional Chinese calligraphy and red artist seals beautifully complement each scene, adding to the scholarly aesthetic. The plaques are set in sturdy dark wood frames with gold-toned hanging hardware at the top.
