This captivating vintage sculpture depicts Shakyamuni Buddha seated in deep meditation upon a prominent, highly detailed lotus pedestal. Expertly cast in solid bronze with a radiant gold finish, the figure features an intricate high-relief texture. The right hand is raised in the Vitarka mudra—the gesture of teaching and intellectual discussion—while the left hand rests gently in the lap. The Buddha's robe is beautifully detailed with deep, rhythmic folds, and a striking deep blue polychrome accent covers one arm, providing a stunning visual contrast to the gold. His serene face is framed by elongated earlobes and tightly coiled dark hair. Weighing nearly 2 pounds, this graceful and substantial figure is perfect for an altar, a meditation space, or as an elegant focal point in a refined interior.
