A carved oak chest in the Jacobean Revival style. The front panel has scrolling acanthus leaves around a central oval cartouche, and a matching carved panel runs along the lid. It sits on bracket feet and has polished brass handles. The finish is a deep reddish-brown patina, left as found.
It can hold blankets at the end of a bed, store things in an entry, or work as a coffee table with a tray on top.
