A substantial round silverplate serving tray featuring elaborate floral and scrolling foliate decoration, crosshatched accents and a plain central cartouche without a monogram. A raised, stepped rim frames the decorative surface.
The underside bears a crown followed by indivdually boxed G S C marks. Based on comparision with a published auction example, the tray is attributed to Goldfeder Silver Company of Connecticut, with a suggested mid-20th century date. The attribution is not definitively confirmed.
An elegant piece for serving drinks, displaying a tea service, or arranging decorative objects on a sideboard.
