The shaped white marble tops were precisely cut to follow the bowed outlines of the frames, with projecting notches corresponding to the leg blocks below. The aprons feature intricate basketweave geometric parquetry in contrasting tones of warm fruitwood veneers. The tapered legs are detailed with the same basketweave parquetry as the aprons and terminate in beautifully carved ebonized lion’s-paw feet. See less
