This C.1960 bronze ashtray with a sculptural organic form is a wonderful representation of mid 20th century modernism. Think 'Mad Men' decor and you'll have the right idea. The abstract shape is outfitted with notched rests on one side and is lined on the base with felt. There are serial numbers etched at the side and no other maker's mark though the look is reminiscent of Carl Aubock or Franz Hagenaur designs from the same era.

Good condition. There are a couple of areas where the warm bronze patina appears to have been cleaned off. Please see photographs 11,12 and 13.

The ashtray measures 7" wide x 4.75" deep x 1.5" tall. See less
