It's a well-known model by the Cloutier brothers, now found at the Hôtel Les Roches Rouges in Saint-Raphaël, where it blends beautifully into the décor.

Its highlight is the top. Two large enameled lava slabs in shades of orange, ochre, and brown, with thick glazes that in places form a raised crust. Reserves carved into the lava are filled with turquoise fused glass, crackled throughout: a long band, a circle, a square, and four small panes. No two Cloutier tabletops are alike, and this one is particularly rich.

The slabs are set within a black lacquered metal frame, resting on four straight, welded legs. A clean, simple design that allows the ceramic to take center stage.

The table has been fully restored. The left-hand panel has a very slight crack running its entire length. We glued the two panels together on a wooden panel using a very strong adhesive: the crack is now stabilized and will not move. It is barely visible to the naked eye, but it is definitely there.
