Maison Lecan presents this 2000s brass-plated metal desk lamp, reminiscent of the Ginkgo lamps designed by Tommaso Barbi in the 1970s.
Its defining feature is the leaf. Measuring 52 cm wide, it is carved with fine, raised veins and dotted with small dots, its edges curving like a shell. The bulb is concealed behind it: when lit, the lamp emits a golden halo from the top and sides. The leaf is supported by a fluted stem, fixed to a 16 cm square base.
The lamp is in its original condition, including the wiring, and functions perfectly, with the switch on the cord. The metal bears the normal, minor marks of age and use. It will find its place on a desk, console table, or chest of drawers as an ambient light.
