This Scandinavian design is characterized by its distinctive, asymmetrically curved metal shade, which produces glare-free, focused task lighting. Originally developed for permanent installation in demanding commercial spaces (such as reading rooms and offices), the lamp has been modified into a freestanding, sculptural table lamp with a custom-made solid wood base. The original Louis Poulsen manufacturer's mark ("Made in Denmark") is present on the inside of the shade. The lamp operates on low-voltage technology with an external power supply. As the lamp does not have an integrated switch, it must be switched on and off externally (for example, via a switched outlet, an adapter, or a retrofitted cord switch).
