A pair of original Biedermeier porcelain cups with matching saucers, dating to circa 1820. Each cup is decorated with a hand-painted floral bouquet in shades of pink, blue and green, framed by gilt rims and a gilt foot. The interiors are also gilt. The saucers carry matching gilt borders and a small central gilt floral rosette.
The pieces are in very good condition. The cup on its saucer measures 10 cm in height and 15 cm in diameter. The combination of the carefully painted flowers and the bright gold detailing is characteristic of Biedermeier porcelain of the period.
