The base & shades brilliant purely geometric Deco forms with their sleek contrasting Silver, Blue & Orange colored styled details strikes an impressive sillouhete while casting an unique ambient glow from the 4 sided radiating logo "sign"which perfectly compliments this bespoke Deco era design. In my many decades of hunting I have seen this shade pop up only a few times and have never seen the complete lamp base...matched with its sublime fine condition of such a fragile item and I can assure that you will never see one of these again...this is a Museum quality artifact and it does not get any better!! See last 2 images of other 1933 Worlds Fair items bearing the same iconic "Saturn" logo and "Hall of Science" building, these ARE NOT INCLUDED and shown for reference purposes only. See less

CONDITION: This insanely rare and unique Century of Progress Streamline Art Deco table lamp is in exceptional untouched original condition, completely intact and fully functional. The chromed hardware is brilliant showing just mild signs of wear and light natural age patina tarnish while the bold geometric stepped Clear glass and Cobalt mirrored colored platform base are brilliant with no blemishes or damage evident aside from some very tiny spot mirror blemishes around the bottom edge. The slightly textured interior & exterior surfaces of the brilliant logo repeat cube shaped shade are clean and vivid with some faint pale discolored finish drying near the edges of the angled copper frame which does not really affect the lamps overall appearance becoming almost irrelevant once lit...there is one small wear spot inside of one panel that is the size of one of the small stars and almost looks like part of the graphic. Original push through socket and older rayon wrapped insulated power cord has been inspected, tested and are completely safe and functional. DIMENSIONS: The lamps general dimensions as shown are 17" tall with an overall base width of 3.75", the shade is a square cube approx. 5.5" tall X 5.5" wide. Standard style screw in Bulb is NOT included.
