A dramatic and exquisite hand blown "Costolato" ribbed & controlled bubble thick Turquoise Art Glass & Brass sensuous form table … Read more A dramatic and exquisite hand blown "Costolato" ribbed & controlled bubble thick Turquoise Art Glass & Brass sensuous form table lamp designed and manufactured by Murano lighting in Italy circa 1960's. Comprised of a swirling ribbed "Costolato" translucent Art glass body that is loaded with a multitude of controlled bubbles and further accentuated with brilliant Silver sparkles throughout creating a truly unique dynamic underwater 3-D effect. The pictures don't really do justice to how brilliant the glass is viewed first-hand...the two close up pics are the best indicator of the actual color brilliance of the Silver sparkles as imbedded into the depth of the glass...it literally looks like scuba diving in the Caribbean! Crowned with its matching glass ball finial and contrasted with its' original oil rubbed Brass finished base & hardware, all is completely well engineered and crafted bearing typical imperfections inherent in the glass blowing manufacturing process. In my many decades of hunting rare lighting this is without a doubt one of the most stunning Murano glass lamp that I have ever seen...it just does not get much better! See less

CONDITION: This impressive table lamp is in sublime exceptional original condition, completely intact and fully functional. Very faint signs of usage wear or age overall with the glass being perfectly clean with no evidence of abuse or damage while the original Oil rubbed Brass finished hardware is equally as brilliant with the exception of some worn Clear coat tarnish-like spots on the pedestal base mostly on just one side (last pic). The 3-way socket & wiring are original and all has been inspected & tested to be clean, safe and functional. The Cream colored Linen-like shade is a contemporary replacement to match the original and is essentially perfect. DIMENSIONS: This lamp is large and HEAVY @ 12 lbs. with general dimensions of 6" wide X 29" high total as shown. The fabric shade shown is 16" wide X 11" high, the actual shade delivered ever so slightly in fabric or details due to suppliers availability. Bulb is NOT included.
