The richly figured mahogany has developed a deep, warm lustre over more than a century of use, the natural figuring of the timber catching the light with a quiet, understated luxury that speaks to the quality of the original material selection. Clean, architectural lines, delicate brass ring pulls, and the subtly tapered legs — each detail considered and precisely executed — combine to create a piece of furniture that is simultaneously formal and approachable, grand and liveable. The thick white marble top crowns the composition with a cool, luminous authority, naturally veined and bearing the beautiful aged surface character that only genuine antique stone possesses. Sourced from Belgium, this three-drawer chest is a timeless and deeply beautiful example of 19th century Continental neoclassical furniture — equally magnificent in a master bedroom, a dressing room, or a formal entrance hall.
