These simple and elegant workhorses were often found tucked away in French farmhouse out buildings, rejected when dollie tubs made them redundant. Once easy to find they are increasingly very hard to source. Crudely made, a little rickety (but stable) they make the most stunning and simple console tables with the most beautiful original washed out color from years of use as a washing table, the scrubbed color and texture is superb. Made of fruitwood.
