The main field is framed by a wide border with repeating starburst palmettes and floral sprays, edged by a narrow guard with small blossoms. The overall composition balances a restrained palette with a classic Persian layout and awesome contrast with a unique fusion of both light, and bold, character. Colors and shades include: Ivory, dusty pale terra cotta, muted dusty teal, soft coffee brown, powder blue and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Tabriz carpet made in Persia circa 1940's vintage. See less
