An extraordinary, museum-quality investment piece of French art glass heritage, perfect for a high-end Art Deco or sophisticated contemporary interior.
Hand-crafted by the legendary Daum Nancy workshops in France during the peak of the Art Deco era (circa 1920s–1930s), this magnificent cased cameo glass table lamp stands 13.5 inches tall. The matching baluster base and dome shade feature a striking frosted green colorway, masterfully acid-etched and relief-carved with stylized geometric vertical pillars and repeating linear motifs characteristic of the era's architectural style.
The Authentic Signature:
The base proudly features the original, authentic circular acid-etched wheel signature: "DAUM ✚ NANCY". Crucially for serious collectors, this signature correctly excludes the added English export stamp text ("France"), confirming this piece was originally reserved exclusively for the premier domestic market and high-end Parisian boutiques.
The Dual-Color Glow Aesthetic:
• Unlit (Daytime): The lamp displays a sophisticated, frosty jade or mint-green matte finish that showcases the crisp, deep lines of the geometric relief carvings.
• Illuminated (Nighttime): Once turned on, the translucent cased glass transforms dramatically, radiating a warm, saturated, vivid chartreuse-lime glow that accentuates the depth and artistry of the hand-carved panels.
Dimensions:
• Overall Height: 13.5 in.
• Shade Diameter: 8 in.
Condition Report:
Excellent vintage condition. This collector-grade piece is entirely pristine, free of fractures, surface cracks, chips, or flea bites on both the shade and the weighted base. The original acid-etched signature is distinct and unaltered. The wrought metal shade-holder arms are structurally sound and securely fitted. The lamp has been fully tested and operates flawlessly.3.
