This elegant and finely modeled sculpture depicts a standing horse, a classic motif in traditional Chinese art symbolizing power, prosperity, and status.
The horse is captured in a noble, static pose with its head slightly bowed, wearing a detailed bridle and a sculpted saddle with a fringed blanket. The mane and tail are finished in a contrasting dark, textured bronze, adding depth to the composition.
The body is finished in a warm, polished gold gilt that shows a rich, antiqued patina in the crevices and along the legs, giving it a beautiful historical character.
The figure stands firmly on a flat base. This piece is a sophisticated accent for a desk, bookshelf, or curated collection of Asian decorative arts.
