This is a matching set of four vintage display stands, crafted from rosewood (huali wood) and decorated with intricate mother-of-pearl (nacre) inlay.
The stands are designed with a traditional, curved "scroll" or "ruyi" foot profile. The top surface of each piece is adorned with a shimmering shell inlay depicting two mythical Qilin (or guardian lions) flanking a central coin motif, a classic Chinese symbol of good fortune and protection. The stands are graduated in size, allowing them to be nested together for storage or displayed stacked.
These stands are traditionally used in Chinese scholar's studios to elevate and display small objects, such as vases, incense burners, scholar's rocks, or seals. The rich, warm wood tones and the delicate shell inlay make this a versatile and elegant set for any collector or interior space.
Dimensions (Largest Stand):
Length: 22 cm (approx. 8.66 inches)
Width: 7.5 cm (approx. 2.95 inches)
Height: 4.5 cm (approx. 1.77 inches)
(Note: The set contains four stands of graduated sizes, nesting within each other.)
