Produced circa 1960. While this piece is factory-unmarked as is standard for Romweber's small decorative Viking Oak items, it perfectly matches the 13.5" x 13.5" x 15.25" specifications, hand-carved dentil molding, and rustic rivet joinery this heavily stylized piece features beautiful cathedral-arched recessed panels on all four sides, bordered by industrial iron dome rosette rivets. The flared rim is intricately detailed with a geometric dentil/square notch carved pattern running continuously around the top perimeter.
Constructed with meticulous craft, the interior features a clean, continuous grain taper, while the underside reveals robust hand-fitted corner support blocks reflecting the high-caliber construction Romweber was known for. Weighing a substantial 16 pounds and measuring 15 inches tall by 13.5 inches wide, this is a highly collectible, heavy-duty accent piece that seamlessly transitions between a luxury trash receptacle, an elegant cachepot planter, or a standalone architectural statement.
