Add a touch of classic Old World winemaking history to your bar cart or dining room with this vintage mid-to-late 20th-century sommelier tastevin (wine taster). Crafted in India, this piece is made of heavy silver-plated brass and features an ornate, deeply detailed grape cluster and leaf handle. It comes complete with its original long curb chain, allowing it to be hung elegantly as a decorative accent or worn traditionally.
The shallow interior bowl is beautifully designed with alternating raised dimples ("perles") and fluted ridges ("godrons"), historical elements designed to catch and amplify candlelight to judge a wine’s clarity and color.
A wonderful conversation piece for wine lovers, sommeliers, or collectors of traditional barware. Stamped with paper label "Made in India" on the reverse.
