This oil painting, entitled ""Still life with sunflowers"", is a bright and cheerful example of the still life genre. The artist's distinctive painting technique is expressed through rich, impasto brushstrokes that give the image a sense of three-dimensionality and vividness. The central place in the composition is occupied by lush bouquets of sunflowers with bright yellow petals, which occupy most of the picture. Flowers are depicted in varying degrees of detail, from well-defined central plants to more abstract and blurry forms in the background. A variety of shades from warm yellows to deep browns and golds create a feeling of depth and opulence. In the foreground, on a white tablecloth, lie red and orange fruit, perhaps an apple and a peach or orange, adding brightness and contrast to the composition. Their curvilinear forms and reflections on the tablecloth are depicted using thick, expressive brushstrokes, which makes them relief and tactile. The background of the work is made in darker colors, which creates a contrast with the blooming sunflowers and allows them to stand out. Most likely, these are shades of blue and green, giving calm and balancing the bright tones of the foreground. The overall impression of the painting is an explosion of color and light, symbolizing joy and abundance. Impasto, a thick layer of paint used by the artist, adds visual weight and drama, making this still life not just a depiction of objects, but also a reflection of the artist's inner world.
