An authentic Eames Aluminum Group Side Chair by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller — the armless, low-back version of the 1958 design, and the prototypical modern side chair.
The seat and back are upholstered in a dark charcoal woven fabric with the design's signature horizontal channel stitching, set in a lightweight die-cast aluminum frame. It sits on a four-star swivel base in a black/graphite powder-coat finish with floor glides, and swivels a full 360 degrees. Equally at home as a desk chair, a dining chair, or a conference side chair.
Authenticity is confirmed by the intact Herman Miller and Eames Office labels under the seat (model EA306, photographed). The chair presents in very good condition: the fabric is clean with no visible tears or stains, and the frame and base show only light wear consistent with normal use.
