The figure is depicted in a dynamic, squatting posture with large, intricately detailed feathered wings spread wide, sharp claws, and a fierce facial expression. His hands are raised, seemingly holding a serpent or ritual object.

The statue rests upon a heavily textured, rock-like pedestal and features a prominent, circular dharma wheel (or flaming mandala) behind the head. The piece is finished with a rich, dark patina with gold-gilt accents highlighting the feathers, facial features, and chest, accented by traces of red cinnabar. This substantial and dramatic figure is an excellent centerpiece for a home altar, a meditation space, or a distinguished addition to any collection of Asian religious art.
