This beautiful vintage Chinese silk painting has a really elegant look, showing court ladies hanging out by a scholar's rock under some blooming wisteria. The artwork is done right onto woven silk fabric, so it catches the light with a really pretty shimmer. You can also see the traditional black calligraphy and a bright red artist stamp in the corner, which really shows off the cool workmanship on this piece.
The presentation is excellent—it has a high-quality silk mat border and a great champagne-gold frame that completely makes the look. It has a fantastic upscale presence that is ready to hang right on a gallery wall. The overall exterior framed size measures 22 inches wide by 18 1/2 inches high, with a depth of 1 1/2 inches.

The silk backing is totally clean—no fading, stains, or water spots at all, and it looks fantastic. The champagne-gilt frame has a great, authentic vintage look with just some light character marks from normal display over the years, but everything is sturdy and secure. The glass and that pretty silk matting look wonderful. When you pick it up, there is a tiny bit of natural movement with the artwork inside the frame, which is completely standard for these traditional delicate silk pieces so the fabric doesn't warp or buckle over time. less
