The expansive floating top is raised above two banks of drawers on short supports, creating an open space beneath the writing surface. Rounded edges, tapered legs, and sculpted wooden pulls give the substantial desk a lighter profile. Each side has three drawers, with a deeper bottom drawer and a keyhole to the upper drawer. The reverse is fully finished, with two hinged cabinets flanking an open central compartment. This provides useful storage on both sides and allows the desk to stand freely in a room, with the finished back facing outward. The teak shows a warm brown tone with varied grain across the drawer fronts and cabinet panels. An Illums Bolighus København metal retailer’s tag remains attached.
