Incredibly, there are preserved stamps on the sides of each drawer from successive years of use of this piece of furniture and the individual stock of that drawer. The earliest date stamped is 1942; these notes indicate that the piece of furniture ended its service in 1952. What happened to it later - today no one knows either.

The whole, that is body, headboard, base, but also drawers are made of solid oak, drawer bottoms are full, but after removing the fillings you can return to the original function of library cards or patient at any time.
On each drawer there is a copper handle in black color, integrated with original fisks which remember unquestionably Hitler's dictatorship. The inscriptions on them are also original.
The size of the drawers is sufficient to store many things, preferably elongated, e.g. one shoe enters easily :-)

Drawers slide in / out smoothly without resistance, the whole stands very stable and weighs quite a lot. Damage and scuffs only such as you can see in the pictures, and bearing in mind that the furniture survived World War II in some office, post office or maybe a pharmacy, you can say that it is very good. The furniture has been waxed with antique wax and is ready to be put directly into your home. See less
