Masterfully executing the traditional sommerso (submerged) technique, the piece features a vibrant, perfectly spherical drop of cerulean blue glass suspended within a heavy, crystal-clear geometric block. The brilliance of Poli’s design lies in its optical interplay: the rigid, sharp lines of the square exterior create a magnificent contrast against the fluid, luminous curves of the inner bowl. Depending on the angle of the light, the thick clear casing magnifies and fractures the blue core, making it a dynamic, sculptural focal point for any room. Equally functional and artistic, it serves beautifully as a catchall for keys or jewelry, a sophisticated ashtray, or a standalone objet d’art for a desk, console, or coffee table. It's in excellent condition no chips or scratches.
