An exceptional and historically significant late 19th-century French Vieux Paris (Old Paris) porcelain cachepot, crafted by the celebrated master ceramicist Camille Naudot (1862-1938). An alumnus of the legendary Ecole de Sevres, Naudot opened his exclusive boutique at 10 (X) Rue Auber in Paris in 1893 - a premier, high-fashion location mere steps from the Opera Garnier. There, he sold highly prized, short-run art porcelain to elite European collectors and high society.
This unique, flared hexagonal-scalloped vessel is a masterclass in Sevres-Revival artistry. The body features flawless, entirely hand-painted camaieu rose (monochrome magenta) reserves depicting romanticized pairs of wild birds perched within branches and pastoral landscapes. These scenes are gracefully flanked by delicate floral swags, bouquets, and elegant formal tied-ribbon panels. The scalloped rim and multi-tiered base are beautifully elevated by hand-applied 24k gold-leaf gilding featuring an intricate open laurel leaf pattern.
Authentically signed on the underside with Camille Naudot's signature stamp utilizing a classic Roman numerical for the street number, this museum-grade collector's piece beautifully encapsulates the absolute luxury and artistry of the Parisian Belle Epoque era. This piece has an attribution mark,
