The oak is a warm brown with a textured grain and a waxed patina. The rectangular, beveled glass is framed by a thin molding. On the right stile, there is an openwork brass keyhole escutcheon decorated with a ribbon bow, flowers, and scrolls. The back, closed by a wooden panel, protects the reverse side of the glass. Likely French manufacture, late 19th or early 20th century. Wardrobes with mirrors became widespread in bourgeois homes during the 19th century, and their doors, once detached from the cabinet, lend themselves to being used as full-length mirrors. This mirror can be placed in an entryway, bedroom, or dressing room, either leaning against a wall or mounted on the wall. The patinated oak and the antique keyhole escutcheon suit bohemian chic, classic, or wabi-sabi decor, as well as a more minimalist interior. Height: 1.33 m, width: 47 cm, depth: 3 cm, Weight: 11 kg. Good overall condition, with a noticeable patina, scratches, and small old insect holes on the frame, and a metal rod from the original fitting at the top. The glass has some pitting and small dark spots, but these do not affect the reflection. There is a pencil inscription on the back. See less
