The artwork is a modernist study of "le cabanon de jourdan" (jourdan's cabin), which was the final painting produced by the french post-impressionist master paul cézanne in 1906.

the composition perfectly captures the geometric structure of the cabin, the signature pointed chimney, and the surrounding foliage under an atmospheric, layered sky.

the painting is signed and dated in the lower right corner: "h.g-son-63". It is housed in its original mid-century wooden frame with a classic fabric liner.
