An elegant pair of Italian wall sconces from the 1970s, crafted entirely from chromed metal.
Each piece features a slender tubular arm attached to the wall bracket by an articulated system that allows for adjustment of position and light direction as needed. At the top is an elongated cylindrical shade, partially open at the bottom, providing focused illumination while maintaining the geometric purity of the design.
The chromed finish enhances the technical character of the construction and creates an attractive interplay of reflections on the various joints. Their clean proportions, visible mechanisms, and adjustable settings perfectly reflect the functional design language developed by Italian lighting designers during the 1970s.
Far from concealing their mechanism, the design makes the articulation and movement an essential part of their visual identity, combining industrial precision with a restrained, sculptural presence.
Their versatility allows them to be used as reading lights, bedside sconces, or architectural lighting in modernist and contemporary interiors.
Both pieces have been professionally rewired and are in very good condition.
