White Carrara and smoky grey Bardiglio are pieced together across the octagonal top in crossing diagonal bands, each section outlined in a fine line of black marble. The Carrara carries feathered veining, and the Bardiglio moves in cloudlike swirls of grey with bright white threads running through, giving the surface real depth as the light changes. A stepped, beveled edge frames the top with a crisp shadow line. Beneath it, a substantial pedestal base with gently angled corners grounds the design in the same veined Carrara. Generous in scale, it sits beautifully at the center of a sofa grouping, ready for a stack of books and a single sculptural vase.
