The bird features richly colored plumage in shades of deep burgundy, golden yellow, turquoise blue, and warm brown, with intricately patterned wings and a delicate pale-colored face. The composition is complemented by a softly illustrated green landscape, capturing the refined character of classical European natural history illustrations.

The lower margin bears the inscription A Dove from China, together with the historical artist credit "Eleazar Albin Del. July 21. 1735." Plate number 46 appears in the upper right corner.

Presented beneath glass in a substantial dark wood-toned frame with subtle bronze-gold accents, this decorative artwork offers timeless appeal. Its rich coloration and classical subject make it particularly well suited to traditional, English country, library, study, and eclectic interiors.
