A wonderfully expressive pair of vintage Venetian Murano art glass drinking tumblers, featuring luminous golden-yellow and amber glass with rich chocolate-brown swirls and delicate, painterly trails.
Made in the tradition of goti de fornasa, the informal drinking glasses historically created by Venetian glassworkers using molten glass available at the furnace, these tumblers celebrate the spontaneous artistry and individuality of Murano glassmaking.
Each glass features a gently irregular, subtly flared silhouette, with swirling ribbons of color and organic, almost botanical patterns suspended within the glass. Although clearly related in design and execution, no two patterns are exactly alike, giving each tumbler its own distinctive character.
Their richly layered coloration and sculptural forms make them equally appealing as functional drinking glasses or decorative objects. Perfect for cocktails, spirits, or display on a thoughtfully curated bar cart.
A charming example of the Venetian furnace-glass tradition, combining everyday utility with the exuberant creativity for which Murano glass is celebrated.
