Pair of Model 4854 chairs designed by Gae Aulenti for Kartell, 1970s.
Constructed from molded ABS plastic with a high gloss oxblood red finish that appears almost black in certain lighting. The chairs feature Aulenti’s characteristic curved lines and sculptural forms. No longer in production, the Model 4854 is a relatively uncommon example of her work for Kartell.
