This is a matching pair of elegant, intricately carved wooden display stands, traditionally used as bases for vases, bonsai, or decorative objects.
The stands are crafted in a classic Chinese "bamboo" style, with the legs, top borders, and structural rails all shaped to mimic bamboo stalks with distinct nodes and slight curves. The aprons and the lower tiered shelves feature elaborate openwork (reticulated) carving in a traditional scroll or cloud pattern. The rectangular tops are inset with smooth wood panels. The rich, warm brown tones and deep patina highlight the natural wood grain, including dark, swirling patterns on the surface that resemble "ghost faces" (a celebrated feature in high-end wood types).
