Make a vibrant and majestic statement in your home with this exceptional Pair of large Vintage Cloisonné Enamel Lidded Temple Jars. Featuring a striking, radiant coral-red (vermilion) enamel background, these impressive vessels are intricately detailed with gilded auspicious clouds.
One jar is decorated with a dynamic, colorful dragon, while the other features a graceful, sweeping phoenix. Together, they represent the classic "Dragon and Phoenix" motif—a powerful symbol of perfect balance, harmony, and supreme good fortune in traditional Eastern culture. The vessels are topped with domed lids featuring dark metal finials, and the bases feature a classic blue lotus petal band that contrasts beautifully with the red background.
Weighing a substantial 2.54 kg (5.08 lbs) for the pair and standing 20 cm tall, they have a solid, premium feel. The bold red color makes them perfect for flanking a fireplace, guarding an entryway, or acting as a grand centerpiece on a dining table or mantle.
