This authentic vintage 11x5 rectangular enamel tray was manufactured by Cathrineholm of Norway during the late 1950s to 1960s. It features the highly collectible "Strek" (Stripes) pattern from the celebrated Cathedral series. Cathrineholm partnered with world-renowned metalsmith Grete Prytz Kittelsen, the "Queen of Scandinavian Design," who preferred the minimalist elegance of the Strek pattern over the later Lotus motif. The design features fine lines brushed directly into the stainless steel form before a translucent enamel overlay is applied, creating a stunning satin ribbon texture that catches the light beautifully. This low-profile dish is perfect as an entryway catchall, a vanity jewelry tray, or a mid-century modern display piece. The top translucent green enamel surface is in beautiful, glossy vintage condition with excellent color saturation, a bright shine, and an intact rim. The back stainless steel side shows typical signs of age and light use, including surface scratches, minor scuffs, and small areas of light pitting as pictured. The reverse is clearly stamped with the original "Cathrineholm Norway" hallmark. Please review all photos for a closer look at the character of the back. See less
