Charming collection of five vintage framed Santa Claus artworks in the tradition of early American theorem and primitive folk art. Featuring beautifully muted Christmas reds, forest greens, warm browns, and cream tones, this delightful grouping captures the nostalgic character of an old-fashioned New England Christmas.
The collection includes three distinctive standing Santa figures and a coordinating pair depicting Santa in a green sleigh laden with gifts. Each composition features delicate shading, whimsical details, and traditional folk-art styling.
The artwork has the appearance of painted or stenciled designs, with a visible textile surface on select pieces. Four are marked with the initials DWD, while the Santa with animals is marked MPC.
The three standing Santas are presented in individually selected wood-look frames, including rich brown finishes and a distinctive deep green frame. The matching sleigh scenes are housed in coordinating burgundy frames, creating an appealing, collected-over-time appearance.
One artwork retains an informational label describing the history and techniques of traditional theorem painting, a decorative art form associated with early American New England craftsmanship. Another bears a framing gallery label from The Art Place, formerly located in Alton Bay and Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
Ideal for a traditional Christmas gallery wall, Colonial or country interior, farmhouse holiday display, or Ralph Lauren-inspired seasonal decorating. Beautiful displayed together or arranged throughout the home.
The complete collection includes five framed pieces.
