This vintage hand-knotted area rug showcases a remarkably refined Shah Abbas all-over floral layout measuring approximately 3 feet by 5 feet
The luminous ivory cream central field features a highly ordered, continuous network of looping vine-scrolls, fine tendrils, blooming lotus blossoms, and detailed palmettes rendered in delicate shades of rose pink, sapphire blue, and soft sage green. This elaborate garden composition is cleanly framed by a wide, contrasting midnight indigo blue primary border filled with an alternating sequence of geometric rosettes and blossoming stems. The close-up images of the undercarriage reveal a tight, precision-drawn weave built on a sturdy cotton foundation with cleanly bound ivory wool selvedges and original short structural fringe on the ends.
