Woven from 100% wool, the central field features a clean ivory or cream backdrop decorated with a linear row of seven repeating octagonal guls (medallions) filled with intricate black and taupe geometric linework. The perimeter of the light field is sharply framed by a serrated zigzag border of dark, repeating triangular teeth. Encasing the center field is an extensive, multi-layered geometric border pattern filled with dense diamond and cross-hatch motifs rendered in deep midnight blue or black wool on a tan ground. Finishing both short ends of the accent mat are short, tightly knotted white cotton or wool fringe accents, emphasizing its durable handmade construction.
