Dali captures a musician in a striking, almost impossible pose, combining the elegance of a classical performer with the dreamlike distortions associated with Surrealism.

The figure leans forward as if suspended in mid-motion, its head tilted in concentration and its hair streaming dramatically backwards. A slender violin bow extends horizontally across the composition, creating a sharp contrast with the flowing, twisting forms of the body. The dark bronze surface, with its subtle variations in patina and richly modelled textures, enhances the sense of movement and gives the sculpture a powerful, almost living presence.

Rather than depicting a musician in a conventional pose, the work transforms the act of playing music into a vision of energy, emotion and metamorphosis. The exaggerated anatomy, unstable balance and fluid contours evoke the Surrealist fascination with dreams, the unconscious and the transformation of familiar objects and figures into unexpected forms.

The work’s expressive movement suggests a fusion of music, the human figure and the forces of nature, inviting the viewer to experience the musician not simply as a performer, but as an embodiment of artistic inspiration.

The sculpture bears a signature attributed to Salvador Dalí; however, its authorship has not been independently verified, and no foundry or edition marks have been identified. This piece has an attribution mark,
