the work is inscribed by the artist with the title “340000 år.”, the series designation “ur: ‘atlantis’.”, and the technique “etsnning, monotyp.”, identifying the piece as a hybrid etching and monotype. It is hand-signed and dated curt bjernevi 1988 at the lower right.
the composition is structured around luminous fields of yellow, green, turquoise and ochre, interrupted by a dense vertical band of darker, highly worked forms. Fine linear symbols appear across the surface like fragments of an invented visual language, giving the work an archaeological or mythological quality.
