Introduced in 1968 this is a set of six Model 1188 armchairs by Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin. The 1188 pairs a slender, architectural frame with softly upholstered seat and back cushions that seem to float within it.
Each chair is upholstered in supple cream leather and set on a warm bronze frame. Cylindrical leather-wrapped arms soften the linear geometry. The open, cantilevered silhouette keeps the chairs visually light, so they suit a dining table, a library, or a game table, and they work equally well in modern, transitional, and traditional interiors.
Overall dimensions: 23"W × 23"D × 30"H
